I’m not impressed. They were responsive at first, but after I made the payment, it felt like everything went quiet. I’m still waiting for a reply, and it’s making me feel like I shouldn’t have trusted them so quickly.

I was excited to get the book, but, well, the box arrived crushed. The packaging didn’t really protect it, so the corners of the book ended up bent.

I picked up a couple of these books mostly because I was excited about the artwork, but i was let down once I started flipping through them.

Some of the plates just looked flat, the colors felt muddy, and the details on the uniforms and gear weren’t very crisp. A few of the illustrations looked more like rough digital sketches than finished pieces, and I kept thinking, how is this okay for something people are buying partly for the art?

The writing might be fine, but the artwork was the main reason I bought them, and it just didn’t deliver for me. Disappointing overall.

I can't say I wasn't disappointed with this one. The whole book felt kind of thin and rushed, like it never really took the time to dig into anything. There wasn't much depth at all, and for the price, it just didn't feel worth it to me

My order did eventually go through, but the checkout page kept freezing on me. I don’t know for sure, but it felt like maybe their site was overloaded or something. It was just more annoying than it needed to be.

I ended up giving up after a bit because it was just too annoying.

Some dates and background details felt a little thin, and a few sections seemed to clash with other things I’ve read. For what they cost, I was hoping for better fact-checking. They’re not terrible, but I wouldn’t really use them as a serious history source

I was expecting a much better finished product, but the print quality really let me down. Several pages came out blurry, the paper felt quite cheap, and the binding didn’t seem very sturdy. Overall, it just didn’t feel like a well-made item, which was disappointing.

I ordered from Osprey Publishing, and the books themselves were totally fine, but the delivery was slow. I figured I’d have to wait a bit, but it took longer than it should’ve. It wasn’t a huge deal, just kind of annoying if you’re hoping to get your order quickly.

I’ve picked up a few Osprey books over time, and to be fair, the quality is usually solid. The artwork is great, the information is interesting, and they do cover some really specific subjects that I don’t see many other publishers touching.

That said, I think my expectations were a little higher for the price. Some of the books feel short once you actually have them in hand, especially after adding shipping. If there’s a sale or it’s a topic I really want, I’m still interested, but at full price I find myself hesitating a lot more now.

I had to return a damaged book, and support did eventually get it sorted and send the refund. It just took a few emails back and forth and felt slower than it needed to

I’ve had a good time browsing Osprey’s military history books. One minute I’m excited finding a title on some specific unit or campaign I didn’t even know I wanted, and the next I’m a little annoyed because an older book is either pricey or tough to find. Still, I keep coming back because the range is genuinely solid, especially if you’re into weapons, battles, and detailed military history. Overall, there’s been plenty worth picking up and reading

I’ve been trying to use the digital edition, but it’s been frustrating. The pages take forever to load, and the reader keeps losing my place, which makes it hard to just pick up where I left off. Has anyone else run into this?
